Autumn Winter 2014
THE BIG SMOKE: The collection mixes traditional British country textiles, including lightweight wool-melton (from West Yorkshire) and heavy blanket fabric (hand woven in Wales) with cloths of a more metropolitan association.
Vintage printed silks, originally intended for men's neckties are used in patchwork a-line tops and on wide brimmed wool-felt hats. A two-piece trench coat presented in an iridescent mauve gabardine sits along side an ultra-soft lamb-nappa collarless work jacket. Sturdy lambs-wool felt cardigans with hand-stitched decoration contrast with elegant silk-crepe dresses and tops.
