Shop Accessibility Information

Our shop is located on historic Columbia Road in a property that was originally built in the 1800s. Due to the age of the building it was not designed with accessibility in-mind. However, we want the shop to be accessible to as many people as possible and will always do our very best to facilitate any needs where we can.

The issues that may affect physical access to the shop are as follows:

There is a small step at the entrance to the shop.
The step is 7.5cm high and is at the entrance to the shop. This may restrict access to some people. We have access to a portable ramp that can be used to help overcome this. Please understand that it may take us a bit of time to get the ramp set up, especially during busy periods. There is generally only one person working at the shop at any time, so please bear with us. Our doorway is quite narrow.
The doorway has an internal width of 72cm / 28 inches, we would not recommend access to any wheelchair or other mobility device that is wider than 61cm / 24 inches.

The shop is very small.
This may make it difficult for some people to move around safely and with ease. Please see plan view below:

Sundays can be incredibly busy.
The market attracts up to 14,000 shoppers every Sunday. The shop is very small and can fill up quickly with just a small number of shoppers. If the shop is very busy this can create an access issue for both able bodied and disabled people.

Our changing room is small.
Due to the size of the shop we sadly do not have enough space for a purpose-built disabled friendly changing room. However we are happy to offer 14 day returns for refund to anyone who is not able to access our changing room, this will give you a chance to try on items at home (any returned items must be unworn and returned in a saleable condition). If you require a longer period than 14 days please contact us.
